First of all, I would like to thank EVERYONE who has or will buy our meat pens, fryers, roasters....etc !! Thank you for your business and your patience! ;) I love and loathe this time of year....hehe. I love seeing our new bunnies. I love seeing our hard work pay off. Most of all, I love seeing the looks on the kids faces :) I really enjoy sharing this with them and seeing a new generation take on this passion. Here are a few pictures of meat pens and fryers from now and last year!
We are so proud of our Chloe! She took 1st place out of all the NZ reds in the Ohio State Youth Mini Convention- Specialty Show. Dandelion was named Best of Variety. While Chloe didn't win the trophy she had hoped for, she won a cash prize instead!....I think she might go buy a trophy with it More pictures to come!
Licking County 4-H Show Sweet's Houdini - Owner:Jeff King Best In Show & Best Commercial Rabbit4/14/2014 What an exhausting but great weekend!!!
Our daughter, Chloe showed at 2013 National Convention Youth show on Sunday & Ember, our red doe took 3rd....not bad!!! We have been wanting to add a broken black buck to our herd. Well yesterday we WON him in a raffle!!! Then we bought a beautiful red buck from the Klindts and little broken red doe from the Everetts :-D AND last but not least, our white doe Sweet Pea has been fighting Mastitis. UGH! Last night she finally made a big turn-around and I think, with a little time, she'll be just fine:) Pictures to come soon:) We are so excited about our newest addition!!! My Christmas present this year was Hank Jr. A 5 month old junior buck weighing in at 7 1/2 lbs. He comes from an award winning blood line and I have to say LTJ's Rabbitry has some gorgeous rabbits! They really have it all! Beautiful composition in every aspect and their coats are flawless! Ted was SO nice and helpful. I'd recommend them to anyone:) Hank Jr. will start breeding this spring...we can't wait!!! His sire is WJ if you would like to see WJ, please visit http://ltjsrabbitry.weebly.com
Miss Chloe entered in her first ever youth show, in Lancaster, OH and that girl is a natural!!! We are SO proud of her!!! We also got a new red girl and she is stunning! She's only 4 months and weighs in at 7 1/2 lbs! Can't wait to see her and Henry's babies....Chloe entered her in the Jr. red does and she took first! Although...she had no competition....lol...no I mean, she was the only one;D LOL But Chloe did awesome and the judges gave her and Daffodil (that's what Chloe named her) a lot of good comments! Can't wait to see how she turns out in a few months!
Ember was doing well, until she was disqualified for not making senior weight... She just weaned a litter and she's only 9 months so I'm pretty confident that she will do better in a couple months:) Well that's all for now! |
